  • The educational institution must be an IND-recognised sponsorConsequential rather than administrative: only a recognised sponsor can lodge this application at all. See institution_applies_on_your_behalf.
  • Enrol on a full-time study programme
  • Meet the income requirementsNo amount recorded. IND links a separate income-requirements page that is not a registered source, and the figure changes periodically. Inventing or recalling one would be a fabricated threshold.
  • Obtain at least 50% of the credits for each study yearA condition of KEEPING the permit rather than obtaining it. The institution assesses it and must report insufficient progress to the IND.
  • A valid provisional residence permit (mvv) is needed
  • Foreign documents must be legalised and translated into Dutch, English, French or German
  • Passport valid at least 6 more months when the mvv sticker is placed
